on the lawn of the historic Chase County CourtHouse, Cottonwood Falls.

Historical Presenters in period dress demonstrate the skills necessary for pioneers to live and work in the mid-1800s. Items produced at the festival will be for sale

Historic Presenters in previous years have included, SoapMaking, BasketMaking, Native American BasketWeaving, LeatherWorking, TreenWare, a BlackSmith, StoryTelling, Gourd Banjo Making, Trapping, HandCarving, Primitive Handmade Furniture, QuiltMaking, Homemade RootBeer, StoneMasonry, RopeMaking, BroomMaking, KettleCorn, PotteryMaking, Weaving, Calligraphy, Abraham Lincoln, Buffalo Hunters encampment, a Fiddle WorkShop, and Live Music.

The K-177 BlueGrass Pickers will gather to jam at the Emma Chase Cafe on Broadway at 7:30 Friday evening for the Festival kick-off. And on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.,the TallGrass Pickers will perform on the CourtHouse lawn. Plan to join us to listen - or participate. Bring lawn chairs.

There is no admission charge to the grounds. An opportunity for gratuity will be in place.
